I can't believe people actually use computers where file extensions like ".txt" and ".exe" are invisible, and I can't believe Microsoft actually made this the default (or even an option that exists) on their OS.
It is by far one of the most infuriating and retarded design choices of Windows and is an example of how Microsoft has tricked the population into being retarded and caused an immense amount of technical IT support trouble due to one small detail.

It's an immensely stupid design that has tricked countless users into error, confusion, misunderstanding, and frustration.
They don't understand why something doesn't work, or they can't locate something, or they just inherently misunderstand what filenames are, because a part of the filename is fucking invisible.
