this terminology didn't really exist back then but I think you'd really describe this couple as "ride or die" nowadays nfufufu (´∀`)

everyone is making fun of guilty crown and calling it bad but curiously it seems you all watched it so maybe think twice before you criticize one of my favorite animes all right?

What the hell is going on?
Are all of the studios compete in "who can make most stereotyped and boring anime"?
First s7, phi brain, smth else, now this.
Story and setting some directly from code geass - Japan is SO SUFFERING, evil military forces everywhere, and there is bunch of liberal children who OPPOSE SYSTEM (of course, they are handsome bishounens and a loli, who looks exactly like Kuroneko, and military are all evil, bald and stupid), god spare me, also there is some hybrid of CC, Dalian and that girl from s7.
Technicaly, there is no difference between them (cc and s7 girl GIVE SUPERAWESOME POWER to the main character, and Dalian is used by him via penetrating her chest). Ah, and main char have smth like COMMAND SPELL.
So, plot is simple - low-lived, miserable and qiute stupid japaneese schoolboy SUDDENLY GETS SUPERPOWER, destroys in one strike all bad guys on mechas, joins liberal kids and becomes defender of GOOD. I believe, I watched something like that in Star Wars, 4th episode, it aired 1975, if i remember correctly.
In sum, there is not even one scene, or idea, or character, which is not copied from other series.
So, why to waste time on this junk?
I'm quit, i'm quit.

I forgot how silly even the physics in guilty crown are.
This girl shoots down a helicopter with a hand-held anti-aircraft missile and her chair doesn't roll back at all.

>>502987I don't remember the show much but the way a recoilless rifle works is it basically pushes something out the back at the same time so the 'net' force is zero. It looks like that could've been legit.
Then again maybe it really is just a magic future wheelchair who knows.
No.502993
>>502989That's a very different long ranged weapon (and probably better designed since it's made to be used for real), and he's sitting down on the ground (the wheelchair would at the least act as a lever and tip her over) and he probably weighs 2-3 times as much with the gun and pack itself, you can see that the missile is ignited in the anime as it leaves the thing and the thrust from that would be pushing her back.
You can actually watch the irl missile start to drop before its own thrust really takes over and sends it back upwards, and I know well enough from real life experience too that if you're even using just a shotgun, you can easily fall over if you as much as a skinny 5 foot tall girl, let alone one with defunct leg muscle.
The one in the show literally has a fireball come out the back of the gun.
The other thing that bothers me, but this is a complaint with almost every show in the last 20 years is how the background team has no involvement with the animation team so light/shadow look fucked up sometimes.

Some fraction of it, yeah for sure, how much of it exactly is debatable. I think at the angle she is holding it at it doesn't seem too bad at all. Whatever minimal force exerted on her at such a steep angle is mostly directed "down" (she would feel it as though she was being pushed into her seat) with only an even smaller fraction of that applied as torque to flip her back.
What she's using in the gif is meant to stand in for an AT4 or something similar, which is a recoilless weapon. What's shown in that youtube clip is a missile launcher. The recoilless aspect of the weapons overlap a little, but the thrust from a missile comes from its rocket motor, while the thrust from the AT4 comes from the propellant.
Here is an old simple demonstration of an early (from ww2) recoilless rifle which is more comparable to the weapon in the anime than what's shown in that other youtube clip. It compares the recoil to that of a regular firearm and i think it's quite informative.
