Are there any cooking otaku here? With what is going on and with one my favorite summer traditions on hold (New England seafood places and days at the beach) because of the virus I decided to try and cook lobster and crab myself.

It didn't turn out too well but I think most of the experience was lost not being able to appreciate a seafood cookout at a small shanty near the beach on a breezy but warm Summer day.

I'm too picky of an eater. Sometimes I think I'll prepare something homemade, and then I scroll through recipe websites endlessly and nothing looks that good.

Did people normally make bread at home before the pandemic or did they start because they saw a bunch of other people on social media doing it?

A few of them did sometimes I think, not very often though. I'm just going on what i remember of visiting my friends' places back in school. The root cause was panic buying of bread a while back (which almost certainly mostly went to waste) and now the dumb norms think they're homesteading and refined coz they make their own bread i fucking haet norms i just i fuc boids kill arghoiwerghin norms

i got into it years ago but gave up after a while because it's difficult to replicate a commercial oven with a domestic one

you can make ok bread but honestly it's easier just buying it from a professional for the amount of work needed
